I've now connected the monitor with the laptop (using the USB-C cable plugged into the adapter and then into my laptop) but the laptop doesn't seem to recognise that there's another device connected - and when I turn the monitor on then it flashes on momentarily with the Lenovo/ThinkVision logo but then says 'power-saving mode' and goes to sleep (which I think means it isn't recognising any output from the laptop).
It doesn't have a USB-C port, but I bought this adapter on Amazon ( ) as I thought that would be enough. My laptop is a HP Pavilion Notebook (product no. It's not working though and I think it might not be compatible, but I'm really hoping that someone might be able to help and provide a solution!
